- Flagstaff is situated close to the middle of Northern Arizona at the I-17 and I-40 juncture, the city of Phoenix is only around 150 miles south and the Grand Canyon is 80 miles north.
-The city's climate stays cool as it is in the pines at an elevation of roughly 7,000 feet, just about at the floor of the San Francisco Peaks. This is one reason residents of Phoenix take a break and leave their summer heat of 110-120°F to the comfortable summertime temps of 70°F in Flagstaff.
- Route 66 runs directly through from East Flagstaff to Downtown
