The Balera town homes constructed from 2005 to 2008 come with interior space of 1,800-2,700 square feet. Lots sizes start at one-half acre up to two acres.

The design of the homes in the community range from Mediterranean villas, Tuscan style masterpieces, to Spanish Haciendas with casitas. Homes were built by KB Homes, Toll Bros, Tarantini, has some interesting street names too such as Shooting Star Trail, Lava Bluff Drive, Fire Canyon Drive, FireRock Country Club Drive, Four Peaks Way, McDowell View, Crested Butt Trail, Palisades Boulevard.

A great perk for FireRock members is they are entitled to through an arrangement to enjoy reciprocal privileges to all Troon Private courses within the United States and abroad. The par-72 course designed by Gary Panks, a legendary golf course architect, is 5,364 from the front tees and 6,984 yards from the back tees. While playing the course there are spectacular views of the Red Mountains, colorful shades of the canyon, and amazing elevation changes, which collectively differentiate the course from others in the state of Arizona.

Membership to the Country Club of FireRock is done only by application. The fees range from $12,500 to $45,000 for equity memberships. The FireRock Country Club affords members with an assortment of social activities to do, such as a state of the art fitness center, tennis facility (with tennis leagues, clinics and various classes), locker rooms for men and women, a restaurant area with covered eating and lounging areas.
