Scottsdale Gated Community
Scottsdale Country Club is a master planned community in central Scottsdale and boasts the Starfire Golf Club. The community is bordered by Shea Boulevard and Cactus Road. Being located in the center part of Scottsdale, shopping, entertainment, and freeway access are conveniently nearby.
Detached homes vary in size from 1,600 to 4,700 square feet and were constructed from 1986 through 2001. The smaller sized homes are located on the west side of Hayden in a gated neighborhood with 2 lap pools for the community residents and guests.
The East Nine and the Club Village neighborhoods have the larger homes on larger lots which is situated on the east side of Hayden Road. This section of the community provides a guard for 24-hours and 2 tennis courts. A good number of homes in both sections enjoy views of the Starfire Golf course. Homes were custom made by Kevron Homes, Desert Star Construction, Malouf Builders, La Blonde and others.
There are 175 Sovanna Condominium units come in an assortment of sizes from 1,200-2,800 square feet and were built be construction started and stopped from 2003 to 2004. These luxury condos feature a resort style pool and spa, a clubhouse, and a fitness center that are all undergoing a major renovation from billionaire investor Bob Parsons.
The Starfire Golf Club
World famous golfer Arnold Palmer gets the accolades for designing the Starfire public golf course which provides three, nine-hole golf courses for players: the King, the Hawk, and the Squire course.
The 3 golf courses at the Starfire Golf Club; King, Squire and Hawk have a daily fee. There are 3 9s. The Hawk and Squire courses are smaller par 34s with 4 par 3s for either one. The King is their best and offers seasoned golfers a number of nice challenging holes, par 36 and longer when compared to the Hawk and Squire.
As expected, there is a fully-stocked Proshop as well as a community eatery called the Scottsdale Grille. Serving times are from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm. The grille has only breakfast and lunch menus.
Parents with kids residing in the Scottsdale Country Club usually have their children go to either Cochise Elementary School, Sequoya Elementary School, Cocopah Middle School and Chaparral High School.
